Welcome into our founders event. We have Miriam, our CEO, Archer, our CTO, and Austin, our head of product here to showcase Softr Workflows to you and to discuss our vision going forward.
Today we are showing you a demo of what Softr Workflows looks like in action, specifically using the UI triggers with Softr interfaces. This makes magic happen among other things.
Miriam is going to talk about the vision behind Softr Workflows. Archer is going to give a live demo, and Austin is going to talk about the roadmap and upcoming features.

Four years ago, our goal was to empower knowledge workers to create their own software without code. We wanted to make software building as easy as building with Lego.

Until now, for the logic part, we relied on external third-party platforms like Zapier or Make for complex operations. While they do a great job, it has not always been the most efficient way to build end-to-end apps.
External tools can have a steep learning curve and become hard to maintain or debug. The last missing piece for Softr to have everything in one ecosystem is Softr Workflows.
Now Softr becomes a full stack platform where your apps, data, and automations all live together. You can build automations that connect your Softr apps and Softr Databases.

Softr Workflows allows you to extend functionality beyond the Softr ecosystem. You can connect to external tools you use every day, such as Gmail, calendars, and Slack.
It is faster because everything is natively offered in one platform. It is very easy to do troubleshooting and it reduces thousands of dollars in costs.
This release is a foundation for more connections, deeper integrations, and richer AI actions. We are moving toward even more powerful ways to automate your business operations.
We have Softr app-specific triggers, including the ability to run custom workflows from a button click. We also have a trigger for when a new user is added to your application.
No other workflow tool has this because we combine applications, databases, and workflows in one. This gives a nice touch for specific UI actions and triggers.
We have AI integration with two modes. One is through Softr AI where you don't need to care about API keys, and the other is a bring-your-own-key option for providers like Anthropic.

For the upcoming months, our focus will be on adding more Softr app triggers and actions. These include UI triggers like force submit, add record, and edit record.
We also plan on adding user-related events like onboarding completion. Later on, we are thinking about in-app notifications and SMS to improve the foundation we have now.
We will improve the building experience with better troubleshooting, debugging, and testing. You will be able to pick a specific record to test your workflow logic.
Regarding those looking to migrate from Airtable, we are experimenting with ways to help. We might offer a way for the AI Co-Builder to take a screenshot of your automation and convert it.
We are also testing an updated data source connection for Airtable. Once that is rolled out, features like comments, Ask AI, and the kanban block will be available for Airtable users too.

AI credits are already available for purchase if you exhaust your plan limits. We are planning to have similar functionality for workflow action executions in the future.
