We are going to look at how to set up some powerful automations today. I want to show you how you can use Softr Databases and connect them to external tools like Make to handle your business logic.
Usually, when people start building, they think they have to do everything manually. You might be setting up your tables and then manually triggering every single update for your records.

Now, let's say you want to trigger an email every time a new lead is added to your database. You could go into Make and create a new scenario that watches for new records in your Softr Databases via the API.
You would grab your API key from your workspace settings. Then you connect the Softr module in Make and select the specific application and table you want to monitor.
Once a record is created, Make will catch that data. From there, you can add a Gmail or Outlook module to send out a personalized message to that user immediately.
