Rabbie and Rudy Dopico initiated the development of a multi-sided marketplace platform designed to connect local vendors with employees from partnered organizations. The primary focus of the initial phase was the Vendor App, which enables businesses to create, manage, and optimize promotional offers targeted at employees. The platform was built using Softr, with a structured backend designed to support scalability and future migration if needed. The Vendor App allows businesses to onboard, select subscription tiers, and create different types of offers such as standard, featured, birthday, anniversary, and special occasion promotions. Vendors can control offer visibility, activation status, expiration rules, and redemption logic. A key feature of the system is the redemption workflow, where employees can redeem offers using secure, trackable methods such as unique codes (instead of QR codes due to browser limitations). This enables accurate tracking of redemptions, user engagement, and ROI for vendors. The dashboard provides vendors with actionable analytics including total offers, active offers, redemption counts, and performance insights. Role-based access and tier-based feature gating ensure that different subscription levels unlock varying capabilities, such as the number of active offers and premium promotional options. The project emphasizes usability, scalability, and monetization through vendor subscriptions while maintaining a seamless experience for both vendors and end users. The Vendor App serves as the foundation for the broader ecosystem, which also includes employee, employer, and admin portals

This project involved building a Vendor App as part of a larger multi-sided marketplace ecosystem designed to connect local businesses with employees through exclusive offers. The platform was developed using Softr, initially leveraging its native database with future scalability considerations toward external databases like Supabase.
The Vendor App enables businesses to onboard through a guided signup process, complete profile setup, and select subscription tiers that determine their access to platform features. Vendors can create multiple types of offers including standard, featured, birthday, anniversary, and special occasion promotions, each with distinct rules and visibility conditions.
A structured offer management system was implemented, allowing vendors to control activation states, expiration logic (fixed date or duration-based), and categorization of offers. Tier-based restrictions ensure that lower-tier vendors have limited active offers while higher-tier vendors gain enhanced visibility and promotional capabilities.
The platform includes a comprehensive analytics dashboard displaying key metrics such as total offers created, active offers, redemption counts, and total redemptions. These insights help vendors evaluate the performance and ROI of their promotions.
A major component of the system is the redemption mechanism. Instead of relying solely on QR codes (which have browser limitations), a secure code-based redemption system was introduced. This allows vendors to validate redemptions, prevent misuse, and capture detailed metadata such as time and frequency of usage.
Additionally, the system supports special offer logic such as birthday and anniversary rewards, which are dynamically triggered for users without requiring repeated vendor input. The platform also incorporates feature gating, onboarding flows, guided UI elements, and upgrade prompts to enhance usability and monetization.
The Vendor App is designed as a scalable foundation within a broader architecture that includes employee, employer, and admin portals, all connected to a centralized database. The solution prioritizes flexibility, performance, and long-term extensibility, with the potential to evolve into a fully custom-coded application in future phases.
