TinyURL

TinyURL integration for Softr

Automation & workflows

Turn long URLs into short, shareable links automatically in your workflows.

Overview

The Softr TinyURL integration links your no-code apps directly to your TinyURL account. Whenever your workflow produces a URL worth sharing — a referral link, a campaign page, a personalized signup link — you can automatically shorten it into a TinyURL link with a custom alias, your choice of short domain, and optional tags and expiration, then store or send the short link anywhere in your app.

Whether you're building a marketing dashboard, a member portal, or a referral program, the TinyURL integration keeps every shared link short, readable, and on-message — powered by one of the longest-running URL shorteners on the web.

Available actions

  • Create linkShorten any URL into a TinyURL link with an optional custom alias, short domain (tinyurl.com, tiny.one, or rotf.lol), tags, expiration date, and description — all set dynamically from your Softr workflow. The short link comes back ready to store in a record, send in an email, or show to your users.
  • Update linkChange a link's metadata — move it to another domain, rename its alias, replace its tags or description, set a new expiration date, or toggle click-analytics collection. Pick the link from a live dropdown of the aliases in your connected TinyURL account.
  • Change destinationPoint an existing short link at a new destination URL, so links you've already shared start leading somewhere new — perfect for rotating promos behind one permanent short link. Available on paid TinyURL plans.
  • Archive linkDeactivate a link and move it to your archived list when a campaign ends or a link shouldn't be used anymore — reversible from your TinyURL dashboard.
  • List linksRetrieve the links in your connected TinyURL account — active or archived — to loop over them, sync them into a Softr table, or build reports.

Example use cases

Usecase
Description
  • Referral link generatorCreate a personalized short link for each new member who signs up to your Softr app, and save it to their profile.
  • Campaign link intakeLet your marketing team submit long campaign URLs through a Softr form that returns a short, tagged TinyURL link.
  • Record-based link shorteningShorten the URL field of every new record — listings, articles, products — and store the short link alongside it.
  • Time-limited promotionsGenerate a short promo link with an expiration date whenever a new offer is added, so expired campaigns stop resolving automatically.
  • Event promotionWhen a new event is added in your Softr app, generate a short registration link ready for social media and email.
  • Document sharingShorten long file or page URLs before emailing them to clients, so messages stay clean and easy to read.

Key benefits

  • No-code simplicity: Configure TinyURL actions visually in Softr — no code required beyond the one-time API token setup.
  • Short links on autopilot: Shorten URLs the moment your workflow runs, instead of pasting them into TinyURL by hand.
  • Readable, memorable links: Give each link a custom alias like tinyurl.com/spring-sale instead of a random code.
  • Links that expire when you want: Set an expiration date on time-limited links — promos, invitations, early-access offers — so they stop working on schedule.
  • Share-ready output: Use the short link immediately in the next workflow step — save it to a record, send it via email or Slack, or display it in your app.
