Welcome to our What's Next: Softr Goes Full Stack event. It's our annual year-end review event, and we're really excited to have you all here.
We have a packed presentation. We're going to be going over some of the stuff that we accomplished in 2024 and giving you sneak peeks to 2025.
Getting into the agenda for this meeting today, we're going to talk about 2024. It was a really big year for us, probably our biggest yet.
We'll talk about the features we launched, get sneak peeks into 2025, what we're focusing on for our product, and talk about tables and workflows. Then we're going to end it with an AMA where all of you can ask questions.
When we launched Softr about four years ago in 2020, it was a very basic website builder. We had a simple vision to empower anyone to create software without code.
Four years later, we have more than 700,000 users building all kinds of platforms, especially custom portals and internal tools. Tons of businesses are automating their processes with Softr currently.
A big portion of the businesses are still heavily relying on spreadsheets and email to manage their processes internally and external client communication. Using those tools is not really scalable or secure.

Note from Softr: Creating complex portal applications used to take months. Now, the AI co-builder can generate a full application structure, including pages and logic, in seconds.

In 2024, we reached 14 plus native data sources plus REST API, which opens up endless possibilities to connect to any data sources. We have grown to 700K users and launched conditional Forms.
We also published 20 plus new templates to help builders kickstart their application building from existing templates. We also certified as SOC 2 Type 2 compliant.
One of the biggest improvements is that we now have 14 data sources. We started with Airtable only, but now we've been extending to many different sources.

Note from Softr: While Softr integrates with 17+ external sources, Softr Databases provides a high-performance native way to store your data without worrying about external API limits.

We launched functional improvements like the form builder, which is a big part of every application workflow. We will continue to improve it and bring update record functionality to it as well.
We also updated 60 to 70% of our dynamic blocks to be more modern. It is much easier to style your application and make it look professional.
We launched the new navigation, including site navigation versus top navigation. This is a defining feature of a web app versus a website.
We also shipped the table, tab, and column containers. Now your application is not just one block stuck on top of each other, allowing for professional dashboard layouts.
User management is another huge area. We made it easier to provide a secure and smooth experience for how users access data without needing to understand complex security patterns.
In the coming quarters, we will add more features like a new user setup flow and additional two-factor authentication methods. We also continue to add more App templates.
Softr is now leveraged by global innovators like Google, Make, Clay, and MIT. Thousands of SMBs are building mission-critical workflows from client portals to internal tools and CRMs.

In 2025, Softr will have its major next leap: becoming a full-stack platform. We want to let people build easier, faster, and create things for them out of the box.
If users don't have a database, having our own native database will help them build their application much faster. We also want to provide unified experiences for workflows.
Softr Databases will have functionality like linking and lookup, roll-ups, formulas, and AI capabilities. You will have full control and great performance out of the box.
We will provide direct importers for Google Sheets and Airtable. We want to make apps faster and enable a better database solution for your applications.

Note from Softr: If you find yourself needing highly specific logic, Softr Workflows allow you to trigger actions directly inside Softr without needing to maintain multiple external subscriptions.

Native Softr Workflows will be as powerful as possible. We will have multiple types of triggers, loops, branches, and even UI actions like navigate and wait.
We are also continuing to improve the core product. This includes theming functionality and better ways to style applications using industry standards.
We will be adding new blocks like kanban, inbox, and timeline. We are also thinking about comments and chat functionalities for collaborative applications.
We will continue to support Airtable and other data sources. However, we are moving toward a background sync mode to improve performance and avoid API limits.
AI will be like electricity in Softr. We want to enable users to talk to their data through chat interfaces and personal agents within the app.
We will have AI fields in tables and AI actions within workflows. As a builder, you will have co-pilots for building steps and natural language definitions for filters.
One question was about HIPAA compliance. While the current volume of requests is manageable, we are evaluating it and suggest users share more use cases to help us prioritize it.
Regarding inline editing, it is in our work-in-progress backlog. We are committed to working on it this quarter to enable that functionality for you.
We also plan to enhance the comments block with a refresh, allowing for better layouts and email notifications, followed by more advanced chat functionality.
Ultimately, everything we build is based on your feedback. We are committed to making Softr the most powerful and easy-to-use no-code platform in the market.
