Overview

The Online Classes template is perfect for anyone looking to offer free or paid courses online. These could be virtual or in-person courses/workshops. It could even be used for access to paid communities.

Simply add your courses, content and connect to Stripe to begin taking payments. Once payment has been successfully made, users will have access to the course content with their own personal account, allowing them to view the content whenever they want.

The Online Classes template allows to split the learning material into categories and present them through a dynamic directory that users can easily search and filter to find the content they need. As soon as a members find a course they’re interested in, they can navigate to course’s individual page to learn all the specifics. Moreover, there’s a form that the visitors can fill in to become an instructor.

How it works

To get started, you just need a Softr and Airtable accounts (both have a free plan which is just fine to being and can be upgraded when you decide to start scaling). As soon as you connect the template’s Airtable database, you can start adding your educational content to the site. By default, the template allows you to sell individual courses, but you can also come up with a different business model. It can be a subscription model or perhaps you want to make the courses free and earn with ads. Softr’s advanced user management system and native Stripe integration will let you implement any of these cases easily. Alternatively, if you want to use something different than Stripe, we have other payment integration options as well.

Can I have different subscription plans on the template?

Yes, you can create subscriptions on Stripe and let users access a specific content based on their subscription plan.

Can I sell individual courses with the template?

Yes, you can create a product on Stripe and link it to your course to offer a one-time purchase.

Can I link video content from Youtube and other similar platforms?

Yes, Softr allows linking video content directly from YouTube and Vimeo as well as embedding any other media.

Do I need a Softr account to use the template?

As soon as you click the Use the template button, you'll be immediately taken to Softr studio and can start working on the template. If you don't have a Softr account, you'll be prompted to register first (a Free account will work just fine).

Can I use the Online Classes template with a free Softr account?

All the Softr templates are completely free of charge and can be used with any of the Softr subscription plans. However, Free and Starter plans have a limitation on the number of application users, so you might need to consider a higher subscription plan if you need to have full Memberships access.
