Supporting a Distributed Workforce – CCCA Intranet

An all-in-one intranet for the Centre for Climate Crime Analysis, combining staff self-service, finance operations, leave management, policy workflows, and AI-powered content creation — all tailored to a globally distributed team.

From the partner

The CCCA Intranet is a robust operational platform built for the Centre for Climate Crime Analysis — a mission-driven, globally distributed organisation. It serves as the central digital workspace for staff to manage everyday processes with clarity, automation, and jurisdiction-specific compliance.

Key features include:

Monthly Pay & Invoice Approvals
Staff submit monthly invoices through a streamlined interface. Each submission triggers an approval workflow and automatically syncs to CCCA’s fund management system, ensuring fast, traceable financial operations.

Leave Requests & Country-Specific Accrual
The leave system dynamically calculates annual leave accruals based on the local labour laws of each staff member’s jurisdiction. Requests are routed to the appropriate approvers, with visibility into leave balances, public holidays, and team calendars.

Policy Library with Collaborative Review
Policies and procedures are managed in a version-controlled environment, where team members can comment on drafts, track changes, and submit final approvals — supporting both compliance and collaboration.

People Directory & Role-Based Visibility
Staff can view each other’s roles, programmes, and reporting lines via a dynamic staff directory and interactive org chart, supporting transparency across functions and regions.

AI Content Generator for LinkedIn
A built-in AI assistant helps team members craft LinkedIn posts based on pre-filled ideas — empowering staff to share insights, amplify CCCA’s voice, and drive engagement on social media.

Training & Resource Hubs
Dedicated spaces for onboarding, leadership development, and systems training ensure continuous learning and knowledge sharing across the team.

Built with Softr and Airtable, this intranet was designed to reflect the nuance, governance, and global nature of CCCA’s work — all while maintaining a beautiful and accessible interface.
