AgroFarm – Scalable Marketplace for Used Agricultural Equipment
AgroFarm, a marketplace demo for second-hand agricultural equipment, showcases how Softr and Supabase (PostgreSQL) can handle large datasets. It enables bidding, search, filtering, and scalable record management.
From the partner
This project demonstrates the power of Softr + Supabase (PostgreSQL) in building a scalable bidding marketplace for used agricultural equipment. Unlike traditional no-code tools like Airtable, which have record limitations, Supabase enables large-scale data handling, making it ideal for high-volume marketplaces.
Key Features
Supabase as the Scalable Database:
- Configured Supabase as a powerful PostgreSQL backend to handle thousands or even millions of records.
- Imported and structured large datasets for seamless performance.
Softr as the No-Code Frontend:
- Built an intuitive, user-friendly marketplace interface.
- Created dynamic product lists and enabled advanced search and filtering.
- Designed custom bidding features, allowing users to interact with listings.
Advanced Data Management:
- Implemented custom SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Enabled users to edit, create, and manage records directly through Softr’s UI.
- Developed secure role-based access controls.
Scalability Beyond Airtable:
- Demonstrated how Supabase + Softr can break free from Airtable’s 100,000-record limit, making it viable for enterprise-level applications.
This project is a perfect example of how no-code platforms can power real-world, large-scale business applications such as:
- B2B and B2C marketplaces
- E-commerce platforms
- Customer portals and dashboards
- Supply chain management systems
