What's new in Softr

We are continuing to roll out new block layouts. This week we have a new list block layout we think you will love. This new list block is bound into a neat container with a blend of vertically stacked fields and horizontal field layouts.

We are always keeping a close eye on any new updates to Airtable's API to bring you the best experience. Thankfully Airtable recently provided a number of formatting improvements so we jumped at the opportunity to bring you these changes asap. These improvements include:

• Improved date and time formatting
• Support for currency symbols and decimal places
• Display of linked records without the need for lookup fields

As part of our continued studio 2.0 redesign, we have now added the ability to select an image for your application within your dashboard. We know many of you have a number of applications on your dashboard and would like to visually identify them better.

Previously list detail blocks were used in conjunction with list blocks. You would click on a list block item and view the list item detail. Starting from today we have added conditional filters to the list detail blocks so they can also be used without lists.

This new functionality would enable you to expose a single filterable list item without list navigation. For example, say you want to create a read-only my account page for your users or a custom dashboard that only the specific roles or logged-in user can see.

Today we have launched a big update to the My Account block. This new update allows you add additional fields to the My Account block, something which was previously not possible.

This new functionality will allow you to create a richer user profile for users of your application. Better still, you can enable edit permissions and give your users the ability to add additional information to their bio and update their profiles.

This new functionality works seamlessly with the new sign-up block mentioned above, allowing you to capture more information during the signup process and display that information in the new My Account block.

It's been a long time coming but it's finally here. Starting from today you can now add additional fields to the Sign-up block. Previously you could only capture name, email and password - well, no longer. We have now created a powerful sign-up block that connects seamlessly with Airtable to fit all your needs. You can now capture additional fields, including:

• Single line text
• Long text
• Dropdown
• Phone number
• URL
• Files
• Multi-select dropdown
• Hidden Fields
• Date
• Date & Time
• Checkbox
