Overview

No-code resources is a simple one-page resource guide template perfect for compiling public directories or knowledge bases without the need for visitors to create an account. Moreover, the template allows users to contribute to the directory by submitting resources themselves. The resource submission form can be linked to the Airtable base where you maintain your library in order to keep everything in one place. Additionally, you can choose which entries to show on the site by setting a status in your Airtable or Google Sheets database (e.g. “Approved”) or using conditional filtering directly on the list in your Softr studio.

How it works

To get started with the template, just hit the Use Template button on this page. If you don’t yet have a Softr account, you’ll be prompted to sign up (free plan available) and proceed with the template at no additional cost. As soon as you copy the template’s Airtable or Google Sheets database to your respective account, you can start customizing it.

The main purpose of the template is to display the resource guide in a convenient format, so that the users can easily locate the items they might be interested in. Therefore, the resource directory has advanced searching and filtering capabilities which you can fine-tune to adjust to your particular use case.

Lastly, although the template doesn’t have a registration option by default, you can add user accounts in a few quick steps and add content behind a signup wall or even add payments. The sky's the limit.

FAQ

If you’ve built a resource guide that provides clear value to your users, you can certainly start thinking of ways to monetize it. One of the common ways of monetizing resource guides is providing the visitors with a free sample (e.g. a few items from each category) to get a taste of the product and charging for the full database. Other monetization options include ads, a subscription-based model (makes sense if the directory is frequently updated with new entries and/or there are additional services available for paid customers), partnership with featured companies to earn affiliate commissions, and so on.

As soon as you click the Use the template button, you'll be immediately taken to Softr studio and can start working on the template. If you don't have a Softr account, you'll be prompted to register first (a Free account will work just fine).

All the Softr templates are completely free of charge and can be used with any of the Softr subscription plans. However, Free and Starter plans have a limitation on the number of application users, so you might need to consider a higher subscription plan if you need to have full Memberships access.
